Welcome to NotedAI. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use our iOS application.

1. Data We Collect

We collect and process the following types of data:

• Apple ID Information: When you log in via Apple ID, we receive an anonymous Apple-provided user ID and your email address.
• AI Token Usage: We track your AI token consumption and link it to your user account for subscription management.

No Personal Data is Stored for PDF Processing. All imported PDFs and their content remain on your iPad unless you choose AI analysis.

2. AI Processing & Data Storage

When you request AI analysis of a PDF or engage in AI chat, we temporarily process your data:

• PDF content: Temporarily stored only during AI processing and is deleted immediately after completion.
• AI chat history: Stored only on your iPad. When you send a new AI query, the relevant chat history is included in the request, but we do not store AI conversations on our servers.
• AI processing is performed via Google Gemini or OpenAI API. These services may process your data outside the EU, but we do not control the server locations.
• Subscription-related data (Apple ID, email, and AI token usage) is securely stored in Google Cloud European servers (Google Firestore).

3. AI-Generated Content & Ownership

When you use our AI services to analyze a PDF or generate content:

• AI-generated content is owned by NotedAI.
• We reserve the right to use, store, modify, and share AI-generated content, including making it available to other users.
• Your original PDF remains private and is never stored or shared.

By using our AI services, you agree to the Terms & Conditions, which govern the ownership and distribution of AI-generated content.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely for the following purposes:

• Enabling AI analysis of your PDFs (temporary processing only).
• Facilitating AI chat interactions (your history remains on your iPad).
• Managing your subscription, including tracking AI token consumption.
• Ensuring the security and stability of our app.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We only store your data for as long as necessary:

• PDF files and AI chat history are not stored beyond AI processing.
• Apple ID and email are retained only for managing subscriptions.
• Users can request deletion of their account and data at any time.

6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

If you are located in the EU (GDPR) or California (CCPA), you have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of your data.
• Correction: Request corrections to your data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data.

7. Security Measures

We take strong security measures to protect your data:

• All stored data is encrypted as per Google Cloud's security standards.
• We use secure authentication methods (Apple Sign-In).
• AI token records are linked to your account and securely stored in Google Cloud Firestore (EU servers).

8. Third-Party Services

We integrate with third-party AI APIs:

• Google Gemini API (Google Cloud Platform)
• OpenAI API

These providers may process data outside the EU, but we do not store any of your PDF content or AI chat history on our servers.
